At last a home fixture although it was played across the bridge  and the sun was shinning. And yes it shone today on the pitch & off.  Today the U13s showed  their talent & dug in well to beat Pencoed by 7 tries to 2. This was a a very good game of rugby played by both teams but today the U13′s had the edge and the tries began to flow!  Harry put the first try on the board in the opening minutes this was followed by another try from Scott again within the opening minutes of the game. Both tries were unconverted.  Pencoed came back with a try from Cameron & this too was unconverted! Lots of nervous parents & players  today! Was this to be “deja vu” was this to be a repeat of lat year’s fixture?  Apparently not for their discipline on the field & their determination and skill was today apparent. Luca scored a beautiful try from Pencoeds scrum and the tries continued from Dom, Tom & Iestyn, 3 conversions and a stunning victory from a committed team. Pencoed scored another try in the second half by Cameron also unconverted. We look forward to a return fixture in the future and to many more fixtures against a very good team. It was an absolute pleasure to see the players of both teams eating sausage & chips together, coaches and parents of both teams interacting!
