Match Report

A bitterly cold and wet morning controbuted to a miserable game for the Youngstars. Having had a few weeks off training and no game last weekend it seemed the boys were a ‘tad rusty’ to say the least.

As always though, they showed determination and eagerness in attack with everyone looking to get their hands on the ball. Unfortunately it was the tagging let them down.

On numerous occasions the opposition simply ran through the weak defence to score some soft tries. The Sports attack, on the other hand, did result in some neat tries of their own with Mckenzie Gray touching down for 2 and Nathan Cox also scoring a great individual try. Kendra Jones excelled on her debut for the team and is a very welcomed acquisition !

A lot to work on in training this week, but as long as they keep playing with the smile on their faces and determination they show, this team will start picking up frequent victories very soon.
